The Down With Pants! crew rushed out of the house to the movie theater on Wednesday night after realizing that Shrek 2 had opened earlier in the day. We got in just in time for the previews which featured both the new Harry Potter movie and the new Pixar movie, the Incredibles (both of which look really good, if you like that kind of thing).
Shrek 2 did not disappoint. I was prepared to not like Shrek 2 thinking they would make it unbearably sappy or tone down the humor. But when the movie opened to the clips of Shrek and Fiona on their honeymoon and they showed the Little Mermaid attacked by sharks, I knew we were in for a good ride.
It's a ton of fun, it's exciting and it's heartwarming. It's everything that the first one was and maybe even more. I'm not sure if it's better that the original but it comes mighty close. The DWP! crew gives it two pants down!
